Theatrical Torch Props
We showcased our torch props with Micro Effects Lights at the 2025 USITT Theatrical Show in Columbus, Ohio. Each torch is made from a 1-inch PVC pipe that holds three MEL lights. The pipe includes flicker controls for a flame effect and is connected to a 3-way cable splitter. These torches can be powered by a 9-volt battery or a 12-volt power source.

Blacklight 405nm LED lights used in props
LEDs allow for the miniaturization of backlights and the use of simple, small, battery-powered portable lights for props, costumes, and other special effects lighting applications. The MEL-BL works well with various fluorescent paints, pigments, and dyes.

LED Flames for Special Effects
The TCF (Three-Channel Flame) controller features three output channels, each capable of flickering with different patterns. Users can choose from six pattern modes, each offering a unique flicker sequence. Additionally, the controller includes ten flicker speed settings, allowing for a slow mode to simulate the appearance of burning embers or logs, as well as a fast flicker for a more intense fire effect.
Applications for this controller include theatrical stage fireplace props, campfire props, replica gas lamps, lanterns, torch props, escape room designs, themed entertainment, and special effects lighting.
